Patrick Nelson Secker "Captain Pat", 62, of St. Croix, USVI, passed away on May 25, 2025.

Patrick was born in Punta Gorda, Florida on April 18th, 1963. He went to schools in Punta Gorda for 11 years before moving with his parents to the Naples area and graduating from Lely High School.
After high school, he worked at the Marco Island Marriott Hotel as a beach lifeguard. He met some great friends there. After a couple years, "Scottie" Ray got a job in St.Croix, and soon Pat and another Scott moved down there.

Patrick never married but spent the last 20 years living with "Trish" Jones that he met when she went down on vacation in 2005 with some girlfriends. They lived in a beautiful house towards the top of a mountain with a swimming pool and terrific view of the island including "Buck Island". "Captain Pat first worked on a catamaran taking tourists out to Buck Island for snorkeling on the underwater trail. He did yacht deliveries to and from the island with a couple buddies. He loved anything having to do with being on the water. He also raced in the Rolex sailboat races around many of the islands in the Caribbean with Chuck Baxter and Linda Lane on "Intuition", with Morgan Dale on "Bullfoot", Jeff Franman and Rudy Harvey on "El Shaddi", and Raquel and Moose Silver in a J24 named "Roadkill". Pat also raced with Ingo Schlueter, Chandra Henderson, Susan Greiner and Llewellyn. Pat, "Roxy" and "Rocky" would use his sailboat "Aquasition" as the "mothership for many of the races for the crews of the race boats.

Pat would often refer to himself as a "master carpenter" and enjoyed doing highly skilled carpentry. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends, sailing, cooking Italian dishes, and entertaining friends at home. He was a total movie buff, remembering films by release dates, their actors, even the "B" actors. He loved his animals dearly, even though he did not like to show it. He was also a huge trivia buff.
