Dan Humphrey's wife Kate alerted me to your site and I thought I'd bring friends up to date ( 05-06-05 ).

I live on Bainbridge Island just West of Seattle in the middle of Puget Sound. I work in and commute by ferry weekdays to Seattle but enjoy a rural lifestyle on the water looking West to the Olympic Mountains.

I'm in contact with Dan ( Jose), Paul (Skaggers), Mary (Poxie), Randy, Sue, Bob and have seen many other crewmates since '77 but haven't heard from them in a while. There seems to be a lot of preservation talk lately and I too will be putting slides, 8mm film, etc.. onto CD soon. 1,400 pages of personal journals are still intact but not rewritten yet.

My water pursuits are limited to windsurfing, kayaking and fast trips on our 19' Arima fishing boat. In the Summer I'm anywhere from southern Puget Sound to the San Juans ( and maybe to Britsh Columbia to visit Paul ).

My larger sailing craft experiences since '77 have been few. I was on the board to run and preserve the Schooner Adventuress here in Puget Sound. Otherwise I was an instructor at Hurricane Island Outward Bound in Maine and Homeward Bound in MA where I got my 26' open boat survival skills sharpened...26 days at a time. I look forward to a slower paced time in my life when I can make 4 or 5 knots and don't need to get home by Sunday night.
